Election for President

More Info:

On 28 September 2021, Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry announced the indefinite postponement of presidential and legislative elections, as well as a constitutional referendum, originally scheduled for 7 November 2021 [1]. The move was announced alongside the dismissal of the country’s nine-member Provisional Electoral Council – the body responsible for administering national-level elections – following accusations of partisan bias [2]. Prime Minister Henry subsequently announced that the elections will be rescheduled after the completion of a constitutional review slated for February 2022 [3].
