Heeding the official recommendation of former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli’s cabinet in May 2021, President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved parliament and announced snap elections for 12 and 19 November 2021 [1]. The elections have since been canceled following a 12 July ruling by the Supreme Court, which saw Oli replaced by current Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba [2] [3].
