  • Assembly: Hong Kong has a unicameral Legislative Council (LegCo) composed of 70 seats.

Description of electoral system:           

  • In the Legislative Council, 35 members are directly elected in multi-seat constituencies by party-list proportional representation vote, 30 members are indirectly elected by the members of various functional constituencies, and 5 at large members are directly elected by all of Hong Kong’s eligible voters who are not in a functional constituency. All members of the Legislative Council serve 4-year terms.
